Reed Exhibitions announces the launch of Waste Expo Australia

October 4 2016, Sydney: Reed Exhibitions announced today the launch of Waste Expo Australia, a new business-to-business exhibition for waste, recycling and sustainability in Australia.

Waste Expo Australia will be held annually in October at the Melbourne Exhibition & Convention Centre and will be co-located with All-Energy Australia, Reed Exhibitions’ market-leading clean energy exhibition and conference.

From 2017, Waste Expo Australia and All-Energy Australia will occupy a combined 15,000 sq m of hall space under the overarching banner of Australian Sustainability Week to form Australia’s most significant showcase for the renewable energy generation and supply, energy storage, energy efficiency, waste management, recycling and resource recovery industries.

Waste Expo Australia will bring together Australian and international solution providers in the waste management, recycling, resource recovery and sustainability sectors, showcasing the latest technology, products, services and turnkey solutions. Exhibiting companies will benefit from the opportunity to engage with buyers, specifiers and operators from sectors such as government, corporate, facilities including sporting, hospitality and entertainment venues, transport and healthcare.

Waste Expo Australia’s comprehensive exhibition floor will be complemented with a range of business-matching and networking opportunities, plus a free-to-attend conference program that is designed to educate and provide exhibitors and industry professionals with the opportunity to share knowledge on a range of topics, focusing on new industry developments and the latest trends and innovations.

Waste management is a growing sector for Reed Exhibitions, the world’s leading event organiser. Waste Expo Australia joins the company’s global portfolio which includes established brands Pollutec (France), EcoWaste (Abu Dhabi) and WasteTech (Russia). Joining the Reed Exhibitions team to support the launch and growth of Waste Expo Australia will be Louise Brooks, owner and founder of Waste Expo, which has been co-located with All-Energy Australia since 2013. In 2017, Louise will redirect her considerable experience, knowledge and expertise in this sector from staging her own event to fulfilling a key role at Reed Exhibitions in the strategic direction and event management of the new Waste Expo Australia.
